Hashtags and mentions
Tag topics with # and people with @. Both work in Arabic and English, in posts and in chats.

Type # followed by a word to make a hashtag, in either language. Tapping a hashtag opens a page of every public post using it, newest first, and the trending ones appear on the search screen.
Type @ and start writing a username to mention someone; pick them from the list. They get a notification, and the mention links to their profile.
In Arabic the # sits before the word exactly as it does in English: #تقنية.
