Location and Nearby
Nearby is on by default and uses a rounded location. Turn it off any time.

The Nearby tab shows posts tagged around you. To find them, Ting uses your phone’s location rounded to about a kilometre, and stores only that rounded point on the posts you choose to tag. Ting never tracks you in the background.
Turn it off in Settings → Privacy → Share location. The Nearby tab then shows nothing and your posts carry no location. You can also deny location entirely in iPhone Settings → Ting → Location.
